Are for-profit graduation rates proof of student success?

Last week, scrutiny of the for-profit education sector ticked up a notch as the second in a series of hearings took place on Capitol Hill aimed at exposing the sector’s questionable business practices. But of particular interest to us here at WSC was Sen. Burr’s (NC) comments about graduation rates at for-profit institutions in his state.
